Rejane Botelho nasceu em Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, em 1961, e apresenta um currículo representativo de várias etapas de trabalho nas artes plásticas, divulgando não só o seu trabalho, mas também o de outros artistas. Iniciou-se como autodidata na técnica óleo sobre tela, posteriormente aprimorou-se através de cursos. Seu trabalho começou no final de 2001, utilizando-se de pesquisas na internet e revistas especializadas, o que a incentivou a captar imagens pela lente de sua câmera fotográfica. Na arte da fotografia, em junho de 2005, participa pela primeira vez do Concurso “Fotografa Pelotas”, idealizado e patrocinado pela ECOS – Escola de Comunicação Social, da Universidade Católica de Pelotas, obtendo os 1º e 3º lugares. Este livro representa a vontade de divulgar a arte e mostrar ao público as belezas e particularidades da cidade de Pelotas.

Rejane Botelho was born in Pelotas town, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil in 1961. She doesn’t have a wide artistic résumé; nevertheless, she has made very impressive works in plastic arts and other art forms. Rejane has been exhibiting her work as well as other artists. During her career, she has won several certificates in recognition of her work. She had started out as being self-taught in oil painting techniques on canvas and with time she improved herself through courses. Her work started at the end of 2001, taking advantage of researches on the internet and specialized magazines; this motivated herself so as to capture images on her camera lens. She had her first experience in the art of photography in June 2005 when she took part in a photographic contest called “Fotografa Pelotas”; which was organized and sponsored by The Social Communication School of the Pelotas Catholic University. As a result of it, she won the 1st and 3rd position, a significant feat that encouraged herself in order to make the first photographic exhibition during the Pelotas Anniversary Week in 2006. She has continued with her photography both individually and collectively way in many places./p>
